If you’ve never hired a personal shopper before, you might be wondering how it all works and whether it’s worth it. In this post, I’ll walk you through what it’s like to hire me, what makes my service different from a delivery app, and how I tailor each shopping experience to you.

Whether it’s your first time or you’re just tired of inconsistent deliveries, here’s what to expect when you work with me.

1. How to Get Started

You don’t need an app to place your first order. Most clients simply text or email me with what they need. I’ll ask a few quick questions about the store you prefer, your timeframe, and how you’d like to pay. There’s no app to download, no account to set up, and no hidden fees.

For your first delivery, I’ll meet you in person so we can confirm everything and start building trust. After that, you can request contactless drop-off or a card-on-file payment option if it’s more convenient for you.

2. Creating Your Shopping List

You don’t have to be overly detailed. You can send me:

  • A typed list of items
  • A photo of your fridge, pantry, or old receipt
  • Recipes you want to make
  • Or just a message that says “restock the usual”

I’m flexible and I adapt to your style. I also look for in-store deals and better-value options when I shop, and I’ll message you if anything needs to be substituted or clarified.

3. Delivery and Payment Made Simple

When I finish shopping, I’ll message you and deliver your order directly to your door. You’re welcome to look over the items, ask questions, or just wave hello and get back to your day.

Most customers pay at the door using card tap, Zelle, or a stored card if they’ve opted in. I never add surprise charges or inflate item prices. What you see is what you pay.

4. What Happens After the First Time

Once we’ve worked together once, things only get easier. I keep notes on your brand preferences, usual items, and anything you don’t want. Repeat orders take less time for both of us, and I’ll already know how you like things done.

My regular clients often send a quick message with their list and don’t have to think about the rest. I shop with the same level of care every time.

5. Why This Is Different from Delivery Apps

With me, you’re not just another order in a queue. I’m not rushing through batches to beat a timer. I’m shopping for you, not the algorithm.

There are no random shoppers, no third-party delivery people, and no weird substitutions. I choose the best produce, check expiration dates, and handle your order like it matters—because it does.
