Getting your groceries delivered for the first time? Whether you’re switching from delivery apps or trying personal shopping for the first time, a little preparation goes a long way.
Here’s a simple checklist to help you get the most out of your first grocery delivery experience—especially when working directly with me.
1. Make Sure I Have the Right Address & Instructions
If you live in a gated community, apartment complex, or have special drop-off preferences (like “leave by garage” or “don’t ring bell”), include that in your signup form or first message. Clear instructions make for smoother deliveries.
2. Double-Check Your Grocery List
Before sending your list, take a quick look at your fridge, pantry, and freezer. Cross off anything you already have and add quantities where it matters (like “2 avocados” or “1 lb chicken”). Don’t worry—your list doesn’t have to be perfect.
3. Mention Any Dietary Preferences or Brand Requests
If you prefer organic produce, gluten-free snacks, or a specific brand of almond milk, let me know up front. I’ll do my best to match your preferences exactly—and remember them for next time.
4. Let Me Know If You’re Using Deals or Coupons
Send any paper or digital coupons in advance via text or email, or give me access to your store loyalty account. I’ll apply any deals I can during checkout.
5. Be Available by Text During Your First Order
I may send a message if something is out of stock or if I need to clarify a substitution. Being reachable helps me shop more accurately, especially for your first delivery.
6. Have Payment Ready
You’ll pay upon delivery using any major credit card with tap-to-pay, Zelle, or a pre-arranged card-on-file (available for returning customers). First-time orders are always completed in person.
7. Prepare a Clean, Safe Drop-Off Spot
If you’re requesting contactless delivery, set a spot by the front door or garage that’s shaded and visible. I’ll confirm placement and send a photo if requested.
8. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask Questions
Whether it’s about pricing, store preferences, or how to send your list, I’m happy to answer anything—even the small stuff. My goal is to make this easy and enjoyable from day one.
